The One About My CJ that Came Home...

So last July I sent off my CJ about Sadie & Russells wedding. And last Tuesday it came home, and it is sooo gorgeous! The lovely ladies that worked on it put so much effort it, and even Sadie loves it! So here are some pics of all the entries:

Anyway I love it! All thats left for me to do now is add some pages at the back about the reception - I sent the CJ out with rather a lot of photos, so I'm quite impressed that we got as far as we did. Thanks ladies!

The One About the Brownie Friendship Recipe book & other things...

Last week at brownies the girls put together their own recipes for what would make a perfect friend (which were really cute by the way!) I have then bound it together in a mini book with a front cover that I made:This has now been pinned up on our newly decorated Brownie noticeboard, along with the certificate we got for raising money for Water Aid last term! All that singing was worth it!!!

Then this evening I have completed an entry in a CJ (round robin to those who aren't scrappers!) which is actually the last entry, so its on its way home to the owner tomorrow! Here is my entry:

The theme was Louis's first months, and as you can see my month was October.

The One About the Mini Book...

So I've not blogged in ages, but thats mainly because I haven't done any scrapbooking! I'm now deskless so it isn't as easy to get all my craft supplies out! But this weekend I did and I made a mini-book to go in my handbag especially for those people who are forever saying 'what is scrapbooking?' Its only small with a couple of pages. Here are some pics:

I used some new Bo Bunny papers that I picked up a couple of weeks ago (they might not be new in the scrapbooking world, but they're nw to me!) and I had another go at cutting butterflies out on my craft robo! I really must try cutting other shapes out with it!!

The One About Two CJ Entries, the deer and the May Day...

This afternoon I got out my scrapbook stash and completed two CJ entries. The first one was for a 'Disney' CJ which was good fun to do as I've not been to Disney World since I was about 7 and have no photos to scrap my own pages. Here it is:

The second entry was for a ladys CJ about her nephews visit to see them, so I chose to do my 8x8 inch page about the Kayaks that they went on:
I've had a really lovely weekend, on Saturday I went to the May Day Parade in Knutsford with my friends and waved madly at any of the brownies that were in it! I'm not sure that they'll be speaking to me at Brownies tomorrow! Then yesterday afternoon I went back to Dunham Massey Park with Mum, this time on a mission to phtograph some deer! I was quite disappointed though, I was expecting them to be in a herd (is it a herd of deer?) like they would have been at Tatton Park, but they weren't. They were dotted around the park in pairs, or on their own. I tried to get close to them to get some good photos, but they kept running away, and it was hard to sneak up on them as the twigs crackled under foot! Anyway, this is the best photo that I got:

This deer didn't mind me getting close, which was good, and it told me off when I turned around to photograph my mum! Its a shame my zoom on the camera didn't get any closer, I need to think about getting a zoom lens in the future!

I've decided that I'm going to try to upload photos that I take on here as well as the scrapping that I do. Thats why I've put more pics up today!

The One About the Nail Art...

So last Friday I had the day off to go to the Stitch and Papercraft show in Aintree with Mum because she won two tickets. You would expect me to come home with at least a bag full of crafty supplies for my scrapbooking, well I didn't. Instead I bought a set of nail varnish pens which lets you decorate your nails with patterns and pictures that you choose! Anyway, once I'd had a go I took a photo of my feet because it ties in really well with my teams challenge that we're setting over on UKS next week I think it is. So I made a LO about it!

The rules for the challenge were:

1 To do the LO about something realted to walking (for the moonwalk)

2 To have something round to represent the moon

3 To use pink somewhere

4 To use ribbon somewhere

And for once I've actually managed it!

The One About a Spring LO...

So I've finally got round to using me Craft Robo for more than just titles! It took me a while to figure it out, but I managed some cool butterflies, not of my own design, they were designed by somebody over on UKS. Anyway it meant that I could finish the DLO that I started last weekend about my garden at the moment:

The one about the trip round Cheshires countryside...

So the sun was shining when we got up this morning and we decided it would be a great day to go off visiting. So we found a leaflet about a castle and gardens, looked it up on the website, found that it had opened for the Spring last weekend, so off we went this afternoon.... we get there to fins it doesn't open for another week :( Even though the website had said it was open. We were not impressed, got to see some of the countryside though.
I've actually sat down and done a CJ entry today (round robin to those non-scrappers out there) so here are some pics:

I've blurred the photos as its of a child and you have to be careful about these things :)

Also heres a LO I did a couple of weeks ago and never got round to uploading:

The One About The Scrapping I've Done This Week...

So I've not blogged for ages... It's mainly because I haven't done any scrapping, and because I've been spending a lot of time on Facebook. But in the last week I've done a CJ entry and a DLO, so I'm back!!!

The Peak District CJ Entry:

The DLO that I did today is another set of pages that are part of the My Freedom class that I started last summer. I really enjoyed making it too, especially as I managed to use my new Amplified papers!

The One About my Free Goody Bag...

It came today! The goody bag from Scrapbook Inspirations magazine that was promised for having a letter published in the mag, and its quite good too! Things I'll use:

A pot of lots of different coloured flowers, and a lock and key, which might act as an incentive to do a heritage page for a change, as I haven't done any for AGES!

Off to the shops tomorrow with Mum and Robert (who is home for the weekend), and then a trip to Hobbycraft with my friend on Sunday. I'm also determined to find a recipe for low fat chocolate brownies- probably don't exist they're that bad for you!

And just a note to a friend of mine on UKS, I'm thinking of you and hoping that things turn out ok xx

The One about the Pantomime & My Car...

We took the Brownies to the Pantomime on Saturday to see 'The Snow Queen', and it was so good! They got the audience involved with the 'he's behind you' and 'oh no he isn't' & 'oh yes he is!' And the adult members of the cast really made it I thought. And the brownies really enjoyed it! And at the end they'd made up a song for the audience to sing but to the tune of Rudolf the reindeer. Then they had a competition to see which half of the room could sing the best, and then... at the end they got all the children up on the stage to sing! They were very brave, thats all I can say, particularly with some of our Brownies!

So after having a really lovely time at the pantomime, I get back to my car to find that some idiot has wacked my car as he's driven past and completely smashed my wing mirror. To say that I wasn't pleased is a complete understatement! Luckily one of the house owners down the street saw what happened, wrote the reg number down of the car and left me a note. So now the insurance company has to make their insurance company pay, and I have to send my car away to be fixed yet again, for up to 7-10 days. For just a silly little wing mirror, over a week! I couldn't believe it.

Anyway yesterday, I made more soup potato and leek this time, and then went shopping to the Trafford Centre with Mum to buy some clothes for work. This is the suit that I bought:

We had a lovely time but were worn out when we got back!

The One with the LO About Tatton Flower Show

As I have finished all my Christmas pages, I decided to back to the double Layout that I started last summer of Tatton Flower Show. With my papers that came last August I was able to put this together this afternoon, I still can't believe that the photos have been printed and waiting for six months now!

I've used lots of bright colours, because it was a really lovely hot sunny day when we went. Thats about all for today. I've also managed to do my step video all the way through, and half an hour of yoga this weekend, so I'm feeling quite good and healthy!

The One About the CJ Entries

I have done two CJ entries this weekend, the first one is about a trip to the Moors Valley, and the lady whose book it is asked us to each do a 8x8 inch page using the photos provided. I really liked this photo, as its primarily of the Totem Pole, but when you look closely, the lady's littls boy is peeking out from behind it!

The second one is for a smaller book, and the photos of days out last summer (I think), so I chose to use this photo of the castle, with the gorgeous blue sky.

I'm really enjoying these CJs, I think its much more fun to be using other peoples photos, rather than for a general theme. Plus witht eh smaller books I've been getting through my scraps quite quickly, which is good as I'm trying to not buy any more stash supplies in a long while (I already have a Bins it All on my wishlist though)!
